A Rustic oasis in the middle of Yukon Territory. Teslin has a RICH heritage of native people. The service was pleasant and professional. Great food and spacious gas bar.
July 2018. The fuel prices are reasonable and the food is fantastic. Fresh made bread each day. We stayed at the RV park twice and it was very nice. There is a dock across the road and a beautiful bridge to take in while looking at the amazing color of the water.
We used the RV park, (basically a grassy parking lot next to the gas station and restaurant) which had nice spots overlooking the lake, but they for some reason gave us the spot right next to the fence of the gas station, with rigs running their engines beside us. (we did book several months in advance). THE RESTAURANT: Cozy diner style, big tasty portions! Recommend!
Nice place to rest for a night or two. Stayed in the motel, can't remember which room, but our door faced south near the gift store. Acceptable room with basic amenities. Cafe is decent, as well. Would absolutely stay again.
We thought this gem would be perfect on our travels and were very wrong. We got in which, was awesome but that is where it ended. Its dusty and you are crammed in like sardines. There is no tree cover for RVs and power works only if you get the cord in just right and do not pop a breaker first. The washers sounded like a great idea and one reason we stopped here. $3 a load is not bad, however, it would be great if it actually cleaned the clothes properly. The upside is the dryers work great and you get a lot of drying time for $ .25. The second reason was the advertised Wifi but it only works at the restaurant and does not extend past that point. -like most places we have been visiting. You get more friendly conversations with the people crammed in beside you rather then the people managing it the place. There is a gift shop and small museum, sani dump and you get some money off fuel when you pay to stay. But these small bonuses did not make our stay more enjoyable.
